This was a shoot we split into two days, one with him and his crew and the other with a local model (Lisa Young), who also happened to be the manager at ICE Lounge where we held that shoot. I have to say, my favorite part of that half was when we got to shoot downstairs in the liquor fridge! (ha) I also realized after looking at the photos as a whole once both shoots were done just how much of the time he had on his Ray-Bans! But hey, I guess that's part of the image, right?
I remember here I positioned a bare flash on a stand just inside the refrigerator to the left. I also had one attached to a shoot-through umbrella camera right at about 45 degrees.
...and for this one I went in and stood where the flash had been basically in the shot above (and moved it, of course.
These guys were so fun to work with - they look serious, but we were laughing the whole time between shots. People who like to perform make the photographer's job easy!
Because he's an Indianapolis-based artist, it was fitting that we did a few things on the Circle while were nearby.
